Defend Ditch Plains

I know its fall in Montauk when I start my day by being able to cross main street with no problem, I've gotten my breakfast in a reasonable amount of time, and I am able to drive my truck along the beach to check the surf.   Fall is when our beach's are deserted as if there was tourists apocalypse and  the only ones left are, the locals. A time when a beach that we've all played upon, learned to swim in its  waters, and ran along its cliffs thinking they were mountains, is once again ours.  Once again we can walk along its sand without having to navigate, what can best be described as, a maze of maddness hoping to find our small oasis in the distance, "Poles."
